Cubic Colors – Game # 7

By expgame

See the thread at the Conitec forums!

Cubic Colors is a puzzlegame – and, as the title suggests, it uses Cubes! And, what an odd coincidence, it also features colors. It’s everything you ever wanted from a game!

The goal of the puzzles: Move the cube through the levels, but with every move, you color one of the tiles like the side that touched the tile. Since you’re rotating the cube as you move it through the levels, different paths will lead to different results!

The game starts out easy enough, featuring a tutorial (“HOW TO PLAY”), and easing you in with the simpler plane-puzzles. However, later on, the game truly shows you what it means with “Cubic”. Not only are you moving cubes, but the puzzles also play out on the inside of such a cube – allowing you to switch sides whenever you want to!

Whoa! It's so... 3D!

And then there are those puzzles that feature more than one cube – it truly gets a little more complicated here, and by now, you’re addicted and can’t stop! (maybe).

And what when you finished all puzzles in the game? Simple, play them again in the challengemode!

Huh! It's challenging!

To make things complete, the game features an ingame-editor, so you can try out making your own puzzles if you want to.

Go ahead, try it! We’d be happy to hear your comments, positive or negative – let us know what works, and what doesn’t!

Now: Thanks!

Now, thanks are in order! Thanks to:
- Helghast, Kiyaku, MichaelSchwarz & Turrican (in alphabetical order!) for testing and feedback
- Turrican for the graphic advice — of which I was only able to bring a very small part to the game (Yeah, I’m a loser frown )
- Kiyaku & MichaelSchwarz, for hosting this thing
Also, I used some of those materialeffects from the Conitec-Wiki. Thanks, mysterious Wikininjas, who you choose to stay in the shadows, giving lowly gamemakers like me a chance to make my game look fancier.

Go ahead, try it! We can’t wait to hear what you say! :)
